Salon/Studio Group Class

Class Duration 3.5-4 hours | Contact for Quote

Jules has worked with several salons/makeup artists and would love to be involved in your learning process in your own space. Whether your artists are at a beginner level or more advanced, each class will be customized to address their specific needs. This can be learning how to build up your makeup lesson business at your salon, bridal makeup, makeup for mature skin or even airbrushing. Jules has several certifications through TEMPTU airbrushing and would love to extend that knowledge to you!

The size of this class should stay somewhat smaller and intimate, and up to six students is ideal. Each class will include a detailed demonstration and lots of guided hands-on experience to get your artists more confident in the specific area they may be struggling with. Some topics but not limited to will cover basics in skincare & makeup application including choosing the right shades for each client, different eye techniques based on eye-shape, color theory, and much more.

If your a salon that only has a couple people interested in the class, coming to the studio for a lower rate is also an option. Always reach out to us with any questions you have and also for possible date availability!

Please contract for a quote based on your specific location. Pittsburgh Makeup is willing to travel outside of Pittsburgh including areas in West Virginia and Ohio, and surrounding states. Travel fee and possible lodging will be factored into the pricing if outside our typical area.

One on One Makeup Instruction — Makeup Artist

Class duration is 2.5 hours | $300

This in-studio class is a smaller duration of time, so if more time is needed that can be easily adjusted to fit your needs.

Jules has worked with several Makeup Artists through the years and would love to work with you! This lesson is molded to what is important for you to learn in this stage of your makeup journey! Whether you are a beginner, need to sharpen your bridal makeup technique, need some pointers with airbrushing or covering a tattoo, or just want to learn a little bit of everything, Pittsburgh Makeup is excited to work with you! Please note this class doesn’t cover kit building, how to start a freelance makeup artist business, etc. This is geared towards a specific makeup skill that you’d like to sharpen.

PLEASE NOTE ** A $50 retainer is due at time of booking and non-refundable. $250 will be charged the day of.

Students are required to supply their own makeup brushes since some hands-on will most likely be required and also to bring their own model. If a model is needed, one can be provided for an additional $50.

Complete Kit Building, How to Build your MUA Business and Makeup Artist Technique Class

Duration 4-4.5 hours | $575 [$50 deposit is due at time of booking]

Do you want to start a freelance business, travel to weddings, do event makeup? It can be extremely overwhelming when deciding to take that plunge. With being in the industry for over 30 years, Jules has simplified a complete system and would love to help you get your start. You’ll do a deep dive into how to build a proper and functioning makeup kit, what you can do to build your business, as well as a complete makeup application from start to finish focusing on whatever skill you’d like to polish. This can be bridal, airbrushing, commercial and beauty looks, men’s grooming/makeup and more. This class is an investment in yourself and your makeup business. As with all Jules’ classes, continuing communication is key and is always available to answer any questions as you continue to grow! If additional time is needed, a discounted rate for future classes is given.

Please note a model will be required for at least two hours of the later portion of this class. If you are unable to provide one, we can provide one with a $50 fee.
